Israel Omen - Those who touch Israel will be cursed...

Did YHVH's protective "Omen" come back to Israel when the Jews returned to their ancient land in 1948?
The Israel Omen “Dividing the Land” Blog powerfully reports a series of historically destructive events since 1991 to current, connected by a common thread: warnings found in Ancient Hebrew prophetic Scripture that Israel was not to be divided. Are these events the telling signs of an ancient Divine Omen, the same omen ignored by the Egyptians 3,500 years ago as Moses was leading the children of Israel out of Egypt by YHVH's mighty hand?
This Blog presents strong evidences that the "Four Horns" foretold in Zechariah 1:18-21 to be scattering Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem are the four nations of the "Quartet"!
As the nations of the world gather to remove the Jew from YHVH's promised Holy Land, the international group dubbed the Quartet is leading the effort. And, the same prophetic Scripture warns of YHVH's judgment against those nations attempting to divide Israel. Your view of current events might never be the same!
Updated: March 2011
An explosion on April 20, 2010, aboard the Deepwater Horizon, a drilling rig working on a well for the oil company BP one mile below the surface of the Gulf of Mexico, led to the largest accidental oil spill in history.
After a series of failed efforts to plug a gushing leak, BP said in July 2010 that it had capped what it had named the Macondo well, marking the first time in 86 days that oil was not gushing into the gulf. Nearly five months after it blew out of control, the federal government finally declared the well dead in September, after pressure tests confirmed that cement pumped into the base of the well through a relief well formed an effective, and final, seal. The Macondo well and the two relief wells were to be abandoned, following standard industry practices.
Government scientists estimated that nearly five million barrels of oil flowed from BP's well, an amount outstripping the estimated 3.3 million barrels spilled into the Bay of Campeche by the Mexican rig Ixtoc I in 1979.
The oil spilled from the BP well first made landfall in Louisiana. But in June, tar balls and oil mousse had reached the shores of Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Shortly thereafter, it spread on shore, smearing tourist beaches, washing onto the shorelines of sleepy coastal communities and oozing into marshy bays that fishermen have worked for generations.
By August, the slick appeared to be dissolving far more rapidly than anticipated. The long term damage caused by the spill, however, is still uncertain, in part because large amounts of oil spread underwater rather than surfacing. A new study published in the journal Science in late August confirmed the existence of a huge plume of dispersed oil deep in the Gulf of Mexico and suggested that it had not broken down, raising the possibility that it might pose a threat to wildlife for months or even years.
In September 2010, two independent researchers at Columbia University announced that the federal government, after several missteps, had accurately estimated the amount of oil spilled at nearly 172 million gallons; 185 million gallons, a statistical match when the margins of error are figured in, had actually leaked from the broken well, they said.
By November 2010, the emergency program in the Gulf had ended and the settlement phase began.
A presidential panel named to study the accident called it a preventable one, caused by a series of failures and blunders by the companies involved in drilling the well and the government regulators assigned to police them. In a chapter of its final findings released in early 2011, the panel found that BP, Transocean, Halliburton, and several subcontractors working for them took a series of hazardous and time-saving steps without adequate consideration of the risks involved.
Many other consequences will likely ripple out from the spill for a long time to come: investigations by the Justice Department and Congress into the cause of the spill, new regulations imposing tougher review for deepwater drilling, new leadership for BP as the oil giant struggles to repair a shattered reputation. In December 2010, the Department of Justice filed a civil lawsuit in New Orleans against BP and eight other companies over the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Although the complaint does not specify the damages that the administration is seeking, the fines and penalties under the laws that are cited in the complaint could reach into the tens of billions of dollars.
Hundreds of thousands of people and businesses have filed for emergency payments from the $20 billion BP fund administered by Kenneth R. Feinberg. More than $2.2 billion has been paid so far in emergency money to those affected by the spill. Mr. Feinberg announced the rules for those settlements in November 2010 after consulting with lawyers, state attorneys general, the Department of Justice and BP.
On Feb. 2, 2011, a report commissioned by Mr. Feinberg predicted that the Gulf of Mexico should recover from the environmental damage caused by the enormous BP oil spill faster than many people expected. The prediction, central to Mr. Feinberg's plan for paying claimants, is certain to be controversial among those who believe the damage will be longer-lasting and therefore should result in higher payouts for the spill’s victims.
On the same day, BP said it planned to sell half of its refining capacity in the United States while expanding in faster-growing economies, and that it would resume paying a dividend for the first time since the explosion.

Right away it is important to warn you that the premise of this article is highly controversial. Throughout history, God has always dealt very harshly with anyone who has turned their backs on Israel. In fact, as we will document below, God has dealt very harshly with the United States on a number of occasions when the U.S. has been involved in the dividing of the land of Israel. God gave the promised land to the people of Israel forever, and nobody has the right to give one inch of that land away. But the Scriptures tell us that in the last days that is exactly what is going to happen. The truth is that world leaders never learn. They are still messing with the land of Israel just like they always have throughout history. However, those nations who do mess with Israel have often found themselves cursed. So is the Gulf of Mexico oil spill a curse that has been brought upon us because Barack Obama is trying to divide the land of Israel?
The truth is that we don't have a definitive answer for that question. Only God can tell us exactly why something happens. But below we will detail the evidence for why these two things may be connected.
Barack Obama And The Division Of The Land Of Israel
Barack Obama has rapidly become the most anti-Israel president in U.S. history. In fact, it was reported in the international media on April 30th that Barack Obama had already decided that if Israel and the Palestinians have not agreed to a peace agreement by the end of the year, the Middle East peace process will be handed over to the international community and a final solution will be imposed on both parties.
In fact, Haaretz reported on April 30th that Barack Obama had already conferred with "several European leaders" at that point and that it had been decided that the "international peace conference" would be run by the Quartet of Middle East peacemakers - the United States, European Union, United Nations and Russia - and the goal would be to forge a united global front for creating a Palestinian state.
So if this was being reported on April 30th, and Barack Obama had already spent a good amount of time talking with European leaders about this plan prior to that date, then it seems quite likely that Obama had started implementing this new Middle East strategy at least a week or two earlier.
Coincidentally, BP's Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded on April 20th, 2010.
Before you convince yourself that the two events are unrelated, keep reading the rest of the article.
The truth is that God does not like it when anyone tries to take the land of Israel and give to to someone else.
And that is exactly what Barack Obama's plan would do.
If Obama's plan is implemented, the international community will almost certainly come up with the "final solution" that the UN, the EU and Barack Obama have been seeking all along - a Palestinian state along pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. So now the Palestinians have absolutely no incentive to negotiate with Israel at all. The reality is that the Palestinians can just sit back, allow the negotiations to fail, and still get a Palestinian state with a capital in East Jerusalem just like they always wanted anyway.
"If you enforce a time limit and then introduce an imposed solution if they don't succeed after a period, then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy: you're going to guarantee the talks won't succeed."
Not that Israel should be considering giving away one single inch of the promised land anyway.
But now the Palestinians will just sit back and wait for the international community to give them the state that they have been promised along with a capital in East Jerusalem. The sad truth is that Barack Obama has been promising them a Palestinian state for a long time. According to WorldNetDaily, Barack Obama told the Palestinian leadership all the way back in 2008 that he supports a Palestinian state with a Palestinian capital in East Jerusalem. So why in the world would the Palestinians be willing to accept anything less from Israel?
Meanwhile, Barack Obama and his administration are bringing a curse on to the United States of America.
Examples Of Horrific Disasters That Have Occurred At Times The U.S. Has Been Involved In Dividing Up The Land Of Israel
In a previous article, we detailed what has happened before when the U.S. government has tried to divide the land of Israel....
----
In the Scriptures, we are warned that the city of Jerusalem would one day become a huge stumbling stone for the nations in Zechariah 12:3.....
"On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves." Is that not what has happened? The truth is that God gave that land to Israel long ago, and now that He has started to bring His people back to the land, anyone who tries to give it away is going to be under a curse.
So is there any evidence of a curse on those who try to divide the land of Israel today?
Yes.
Consider these examples.....
#1) On April 30, 2003, America was positioned to be the catalyst for the so-called "solution" to the Middle East crisis. As Palestinian Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas was sworn in, the "Road Map" peace plan was set in motion. The very next day began the worst month of tornadoes in United States history - more than 500 in a single month. Under normal conditions, 1,000 tornadoes hit the United States each year, but in just eight days that May, 375 twisters ripped across the heartland of America. #2) May 9, 2003, President Bush addressed students at the University of South Carolina. Bush called on the Palestinians to embrace the roadmap to peace, and Bush expressed his desire to see the flag of Palestine raised over a free nation. Hours later, tornadoes returned and Oklahoma City again became the target for deadly twisters, reducing many businesses and homes to splinters and bricks. The tornadoes of May devastated the Midwest with the third worst property damage in American history.
#3) On October 30, 1991, in a meeting scheduled by George H.W. Bush, Israelis and Palestinians discussed ways to achieve peace in the Middle East. Opening talks focused on trading parts of Israel for a peace agreement. That same day, thousands of miles away, a powerful storm was brewing off of the coast of Nova Scotia. On October 31st, what would be known as "The Perfect Storm" smashed into New England, pummeling the President's Kennebunkport, Maine home with waves 30 feet high. It was a storm so rare that the weather patterns required to create it only happen about once every 100 years.
#4) On August 23rd, 1992, Middle East peace talks resumed in Washington, D.C. with hope that there would be a great breakthrough. These talks focused on surrendering the biblical lands of Judea and Samaria in exchange for peace. Hundreds of miles south of there at the same time, Florida was the target for one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history. Hurricane Andrew ripped through the state with an eye more than 30 miles wide and winds up to 178 miles per hour leaving behind a 32 billion dollar disaster.
#5) Between August 16th and 30th, 2005, Ariel Sharon expelled 9,480 Jewish settlers from 21 settlements in Gaza and four settlements in the northern West Bank.
On January 4th, 2006, Sharon had a stroke, and he fell into a coma and is now in a persistent vegetative state.
#6) The U.S. had strongly pressured Sharon to evacuate those settlers from Gaza.
On August 29th, 2005 the storm that would become Hurricane Katrina formed, and it devastated New Orleans and the surrounding areas to such an extent that they still have not recovered. That devastating storm caused at least 200 billion dollars in damage. #7) In June of 2001, George W. Bush sent CIA director George Tenet to Israel in an attempt to implement the Mitchell Plan. The Mitchell plan called for, among other things, the cessation of new building in the Jewish settlements.
On the same day that Tenet met with Israeli and Palestinian officials, tropical storm Allison formed in the Gulf of Mexico and moved over Texas, the President's home state, and dropped over 28 inches of rain over the Houston area alone, causing over $4 billion dollars in damage. The storm then moved to Florida and up the east coast causing damage as far as Pennsylvania. The meteorologists called Allison the "worst tropical storm in history". There are many more examples of this phenomenon here:

In the book of Joel, God warns specifically against dividing the land of Israel. Joel 3:1-2 states, "...I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of my people and my inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up my land." You just cannot go against the Word of God and win. So is the Gulf of Mexico oil spill a curse on the United States for trying to divide up the land of Israel?
Or could it just be a coincidence? Could all of the examples cited above just be a string of coincidences?
You make the call.
****UPDATE****
A YouTube video has been posted by Carl Gallups of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church in Milton, Florida that examines this same idea. A copy of the video is posted below. In the video, Gallups points to April 19th as being the key date, which is very interesting. "April the 19th, Israel celebrates its independence in 2010," Gallups explains in the video. "On April the 19th, Fox News reports that the U.S. will no longer automatically support Israel in the United Nations. The next day, on April the 20th, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explodes. Coincidence? Or the hand and judgment of God?" So is this even more evidence that our treatment of Israel is linked to the disaster in the Gulf of Mexico? Watch the video for yourself and decide....
The Obama administration is reportedly signaling another major shift in policy towards one of its staunchest allies, Israel, and this shift could change the way it votes at the Security Council. The change would mean an end to the US’ use of its veto power in the United Nations Security Council when certain anti-Israel resolutions are introduced for a vote.
Reports surfaced a couple of weeks ago, that a senior US diplomat met with Qatar’s foreign minister in Paris. They discussed the possibility that the US was giving serious consideration to not using its veto if a vote on Israeli settlements was to come up. It has been the policy of successive administrations to veto virtually all anti-Israel resolutions at the Security Council.
While the Israeli spokesperson at the United Nations would not comment on the reports, US officials at the UN told Fox News that there is no such initiative before the Security Council and they are not “pursuing or encouraging such action”, but some critics believe they are playing a game of smoke and mirrors.
Anne Bayefsky is a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute and Touro College and says the administration, like none other before them, appears prepared to blackmail Israel at the UN. She says “The administration may imagine that the threat of withholding the veto at the Security Council, or the failure to oppose vigorously any one of a constant stream of anti-Israel UN concoctions, will be good for the United States. They will be dead wrong.” She believes “Israel’s enemies are America’s enemies, and an effort by the Obama administration to use the UN as a tool to blackmail Israel or undermine Israel’s independence and security is a double-edged sword.”
Daniel Levy the Director of the Middle East Task Force at the New America Foundation in Washington disagrees. He tells Fox News that he doubts the US would vote for a UN Security Council resolution against Israel and expects that they will continue to veto them but he says the veto has not always been used by the administration on votes concerning Israel.
It was last month when tensions between the Obama administration and Jerusalem surfaced. While on an official visit to Israel, Vice President Joe Biden and the administration were infuriated when the Israeli Housing Ministry announced it was building 1600 new units in a hitherto undisputed part of Jerusalem. Ever since then, relations between the two erstwhile allies have been tense.
Levy who also advised former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak tells Fox News that “if Israel were to continue to flout its own commitments, undermine the possibility of a two-state solution, or if in the context of a peace process impasse, the US and its Quartet allies were to advance their own plan, then under those circumstances it is conceivable that the US would support or abstain on a UN Security Council vote”. He believes that such an outcome would be “presented as being part of, rather than in contravention of, America’s support for Israel.”
John Bolton the former US ambassador to the UN, and now a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy in Washington says that successive US administrations have played a vital role in stopping the delegitimizing and marginalization of Israel at the UN, and that foes “knowing that the United States was not prepared to countenance mischief making in the Security Council alone deterred considerable unhelpful activity, and at least mitigated much of what remained.” He says “If President Obama materially changes this long-standing, bipartisan American policy, peace in the Middle East will be set back. America’s friends and allies alike will conclude that the Obama Administration is indeed a feckless ally.”
Levy is not so sure and says that relations between the two countries continue to be “strong and supportive.” He questions the choices that the Netanyahu government has made, which he says “seem to place loyalty to settlements and a far-right wing coalition of choice above peace and the needs of the strategic relationship with the US.”
Bayefsky, who is also editor of EYEontheUN.org, says “If the Obama administration believes that it can bring about more peace and harmony and respect for America by sitting on its hands and refusing to exercise the veto, while the likes of Russia and China and Lebanon (which is currently a member) revel in a hate-filled denunciation of Israel, then the administration is delusional. The refusal to exercise the veto will be read as weakness, as will any attempt by the Obama administration to deflect criticism by claiming “the UN made me do it.”
U.S. President Barack Obama has told several European leaders that if Israeli-Palestinian talks remain stalemated into September or October, he will convene an international summit on achieving Mideast peace, senior Israeli officials told Haaretz on Thursday.
The officials said the conference would be run by the Quartet of Middle East peacemakers - the United States, European Union, United Nations and Russia - in a bid to forge a united global front for creating a Palestinian state. The summit, they said, would address such core issues as borders, security arrangements, Palestinian refugees and the status of Jerusalem.
Obama is determined to exert his influence to establish a Palestinian state, the officials said, and several European leaders have vowed that the EU would support any peace plan proposed by Washington. Therefore, though so-called proximity talks are set to start in the coming weeks, Obama is already readying for the possibility that the indirect Israeli-Palestinian talks might reach a dead end.
The U.S. proposal would likely be presented by the end of this year, the officials said.
On Saturday night, Arab League foreign ministers will convene to reiterate their support for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to begin the U.S.-mediated talks. The Arab bloc is expected to demand that the negotiations show progress within four months. September and October will thus be critical months in determining whether the talks have borne fruit.
The UN General Assembly will reconvene in late September, and that month will also mark one year since Obama hosted a largely unproductive trilateral summit with Abbas and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In addition, September 26 marks the end of the 10-month period Israel allocated for a freeze on West Bank settlement construction, and Netanyahu will have to decide whether to allow such building to be resumed.
Israeli officials said they believe Obama could postpone the international summit, or the unveiling of his own peace plan, until after the midterm Congressional elections in November, in which his Democratic Party is widely expected to suffer heavy losses. Meanwhile, Netanyahu has a full diplomatic schedule next week. On Monday, he will travel to Sharm al-Sheikh for talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on restarting the peace process. Mubarak will likely ask Netanyahu to make goodwill gestures toward the Palestinians to demonstrate the seriousness of his intentions to advance negotiations.
U.S. special envoy George Mitchell will return to the region later in the week to meet with Netanyahu and Abbas for discussions that may serve as the first round of proximity talks.
In advance of these talks, Interior Minister Eli Yishai instructed the Jerusalem Planning and Building Committee to inform him of any plan to authorize construction that the U.S. administration might deem diplomatically sensitive.
Abbas, for his part, will visit China on Friday, and in advance of this visit, he told the state-run news agency Xinhua that the Obama administration had promised him it would work to prevent any provocative Israeli moves during the negotiations.
"We want our state to be declared under an international agreement," Abbas told the agency while visiting the Jordanian capital of Amman Thursday. "If this could not happen, the Arabs will go to the UN Security Council to get recognition of Palestinian statehood."
Reports of antisemitism and criticism of Israel has prompted heightened interest in Israel Independence Day among individuals in Jewish communities.
Israel Independence Day has always been a popular day of celebration in North America. But 2010's celebration of the holiday, which officially takes place April 19, 2010, will include a record number of Jewish communities, who are expected to take to the streets in celebration.
Israel Independence in 1948
Recognized in Israel as the 5th of Iyar on the Hebrew calendar, Israel Independence Day (Yom Ha'atzmaut) marks the date on which Israel was declared a nation by the Israeli Knesset in 1948. For many North Americans, Yom Ha'atzmaut is a time for showing solidarity with Israel’s right to exist and its importance as a Jewish state.
Celebrations are common in North American cities with large Jewish communities like New York, Los Angeles, and Vancouver Canada where the day takes on a festive air and the date is often marked by parades musical events and fairs.
Israel, Current U.S. Policies and the Independence Day Celebration
This year however, the message of solidarity with Israel is tinged with a sense of urgency for many attendees, who fear that Washington’s support for Israel may be eroding. The Obama Administration’s recent call for Israel to review its policies of building in East Jerusalem (an area that Arab Palestinians have expressed an interest in for their capital) has chilled relations between the U.S. and Israel. The move has also angered some Jewish Americans who disagree with the administration's political stance.
Jewish groups in the U.S. have responded to the situation by amplifying their support for Israel and the right of its citizens to build homes where they choose. Communities across the U.S. have scheduled festivities for various times throughout the weeks of April 18 and April 25, 2010. Activities range from parades and Jewish cultural fairs to educational lectures and musical presentations.
Images
Yom Ha'atzmaut occurs at a particularly somber period of the Hebrew calendar. The holiday falls a week after Yom Hashoa, Holocaust Remembrance Day, and one day after Yom Hazikaron (Remembrance Day for Fallen Soldiers (and Terrorist Victims). For many Jews, these dates of remembrance are stoic reminders of the attacks against Jews that occurred during World War II and were an instigator to Israel's creation. A rise in anti-Semitic events in Europe, South America and Canada over the past year have further heightened concern about Israel's right to exist.
Israeli and North American Dates of Observance
In keeping with Israeli custom, because the holiday falls on a Monday in 2010, it will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 20 in Israel this year. Holidays that fall on either side of the Shabbat (Saturday) are celebrated on alternative days.
Many North American communities on the other hand, have chosen to move the festivities to the weekend when public attendance would be more likely. Therefore most celebrations in the U.S. and Canada will take place on Sunday, April 25. Jewish communities throughout California, New York and Florida have planned celebrations, as have many smaller metropolitan communities.
Those interested in attending should contact their local synagogue or Jewish community center for times and locations.
